Gimme Red....

Saurav Ganguly hurling his shirt doin his victory dance ....or Mr. Bean's tactics.......

Headbanging Fever .......or the nosefelt music of himesh.....

If u thought that was mad …..well then …….get ready to brace yourself with the Madness that’s IMPRESSIONS.

Slated for the 23rd, 24th and 25th of November this year, this BMM festival is sure to blow the wind out of you with its colour, vibrancy and above all its Madness which interestingly coincides with the theme.

IMPRESSIONS is the Media festival of the BMM department of VES College. Very few colleges in the city boast of a Media festival and VES happens to be one of them.

IMPRESSIONS is currently in its fifth year and has seen quite a scintillating past

The Themes that haunt us:
  • Wahoo! Depicting the energy of Media
  • Media: The Battlefield
  • Media: the Parallel government
  • Media Matrix.

In 2003-2004, BMM at VES witnessed the fall of the boring mundane activities…….and rose to see the birth of their Media Festival.

With the power of the cutting chai & bhajiya pav they proudly named the fest as IMPRESSIONS encompassing events on Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Films, and Theatre and so on.

Events that roar out loud:

  1. Magazine Writing
  2. Media Quiz
  3. Debate
  4. Best Ad Competition
  5. Seminars
  6. Outdoor Advertising
  7. Sports Journalism
  8. Panel Discussion
  9. Spoofing Event
  10. War of the DJ's
  11. FIlm Festival
  12. Street Play
  13. Live Reposrting
  14. Box Cricket
  15. Band Event

The Panel Discussion was the highlight of the festival which laid emphasis on the Page 3 Culture in Media. The panellists were veteran journalist M.V. Kamath, Mohammad Wajihuddin from 'The Indian Express', film actor Rohit Roy and Page 3 writer Suresh Nair from 'Bombay Times'. The discussion was a real eye-opener for the aspiring media students.

Judges for the events included Rj Archana( Radio City), Mannini De, Vj Archana, Mohit Suri (film Maker), Ashok Pandit, Harneet (Indian Express), Koel Puri, Dale Bhagwagar (celebrity PR) et al.

IMPRESSIONS is sure to see glorious years ahead with the undying enthusiasm and energy exuding from its students. The successive years will see many other unexplored and untresspassed zones of the media coming to light. The festival holds innumerable advantages for its students. Few of the strikingly important ones include their interaction with the media stalwarts and professionals and obtaining deeper insights in their specific areas of interest with tips and recommendations by the experts themselves

With Madness as its theme, IMPRESSIONS 2007 will knock out your sanity and show you the wild and crazy side of Media. So gear up and witness the media monster rising from within you.
